Lluis, the newly appointed technical director has a mission to establish a standardised model for operation and control of 2500 hectares of vineyards. Understanding the impact of climate change, getting an accurate yield estimate and monitoring fruit quality were some of the key challenges that Lluis was trying to solve. The magnitude of the challenges were magnified due to the sheer number of plots, approximately 2000, of which only 600 hectares are under direct supervision.

• Terraview offered an AI powered platform with a single dashboard to monitor key parameters collected from satellites, ground based sensors and weather station. The platform provided instant visibility for all 2000 plots. Access to key data such as micro climate, canopy cover analysis and vigour maps played an important role in monitoring fruit quality and yield. The use of machine intelligence to combine historical yield data with current data to generate accurate yield estimation was lauded the most.
